iPad Air

I am currently a senior about to graduate with a degree in Management. I have had my Macbook pro since I graduated high school and I think it is time for an upgrade.

The Macbook has given me its full effort and even survived a tragic soda spill.
I want to upgrade but I am not sure another laptop is for me.
When I enter the real world, I imagine that I would need to be extremely mobile and I believe the iPad Air will allow me to do so.
The iPad Air is 7.
5 millimeters thick and only weighs 1 pound.
Compare that to a 13 inch wide screen and a keyboard and weighs several pounds, the iPad definitely is more mobile than the Macbook. The screen is 9.7 inches so you lose a little bit on screen size but what you gain in portability is more than worth it.

The iPad Air also has twice the power as previous iPads.
It is able to display colors so vividly and also do so much more with the A7 chip and M7 processors. Combine that with the retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 resolution, the results are amazing.

The iPad also has 2 times faster WiFi speed with two antennas.
You will be able to get on the Internet anywhere with lightning speed.
Now I just through out some random specifications to give you an idea of what we are working with.

Now the question is why do I want to work with an iPad Air.

First and foremost, portability.
I will be on the move quite a bit in my future professional career and will need something that I can carry in almost any bag.

I want to have the ability to quickly pull up charts for a meeting without the distraction of a laptop.

A laptop can be distracting because it takes up space and it just looks rude.
There is also the other side of the iPad.

It offers a way to handle business but it also provides entertainment.

With the iPad Air, I will be able to easily stream Netflix or watch live sporting events while traveling. I wont have to pack a book for long trips.

I have endless options to choose from in the App Store along with thousands of other apps ranging from games to social media apps like Facebook and Twitter.

I also have the ability to store and purchase music which is very important to me.
During school, I needed a laptop because I was always typing papers or email work between groups.

I will not have that need as much in the paper writing department. I will be only writing emails and memos for the most part and the iPad offers attachments such as a mouse and keyboard if I were to need to type something of length.
The last thing I would like to touch up on is price.

A new Macbook Pro runs about is price. The Macbook Pros start at $1299 and the iPad Airs start at $499.
That is a large difference and I think I am set on getting the Air.
It is cheaper, way more portable and essentially does everything I need it to for $800 cheaper.

I will probably wait a few months and especially until after the first of the year because Apple is really good about releasing new products four months after everybody bought the previous model.
