Fall Scavenger Hunt Ideas

Are you looking for something different to do this fall? Sure, we still have to get past summer, but why not start thinking of ideas to put in your planner for autumn? Here's a couple fall scavenger hunt ideas that we do around our house that you may like! The first obvious one concerns leave, of course.
When we think of fall, we think of leaves.
Well, how about coming up with a list that makes you search out all different kinds of colors with those leaves? For instance, you could have the kids get as many orange and red leaves as they can (handfuls!). They're out there, and depending on where you live, it shouldn't be a problem rounding up a bunch of these. And what do you do with them once you've gathered them all? The kids get to jump in them, of course! Another fall scavenger hunt idea is to search out vegetables that are being harvested this time of year.
Two that come to mind are pumpkins and corn. If you live in the Midwest, there's plenty of both of these to go around.
Just make sure you either live on a farm and have your own crops! Or you can ask your neighbors if they mind if you pick some.

Great fun! Then Halloween comes around, and there's plenty of scavenger hunt ideas to go around during this holiday. One more quick idea: Fall is when the kids start going back to school, right? Well, for us parents, that means a lot of school shopping, especially if you have more than one child. The kids can help find what they need in the store, especially if they're old enough to read.
Make a game of the shopping by turning it into a scavenger hunt. See who can be the first one finished with the list! Make You Own Scavenger Hunts!
